Our Montessori primary program, focused on children of ages 3 to 6 years old, is designed to help shape the perceptions and cater to internal desires for development and learning. Our classrooms are child-centered and follow children’s natural rhythm while encouraging a conscious choice of activities. Our classes are mixed-age and help the children learn from one another, helping older children cement their knowledge, which helps develop leadership skills.
At Nido we encourage children to follow an individualized curriculum based on their internal interests. The guide in the classrooms will follow and observe the child to offer the right type of activities that combine interest and challenge so children can learn to do things on their own.
Our AMI-approved Montessori material will help children to develop new skills using a hand-on approach. Additional material will be used to introduce basic STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) fields. All activities will develop concentration.
Children will spend significant time outdoors in our garden, exploring nature, and developing their love for the natural world. We will use circle time to socialize and play, while focusing on one activity, whether it is singing or reading.
