STEAM includes the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Children show natural interests in these fields from early ages whether it is playing with Legos, exploring nature, observing the life cycles of insects, or analyzing planets. The Montessori and STEAM fields go hand in hand in that it allows for children to experience and explore these fields using the hands-on approach.
Our school teaches basic math, algorithms, geography, botany, all the while focusing on practical life and sensorial development. STEAM-based learning offers children tools and methods to explore new and creative ways of problem-solving, displaying data, innovating, and linking multiple fields.
At NIDO we use different real-life materials to foster hands-on, personalized, and project-based learning that is child-centered and helps children learn to innovate and collaborate with their peers from a very young age.
Early STEAM-based education enhances the interest of children to pursue further studies in STEAM fields while contributing to their development of skills that they can use throughout their lives.
